Archtriumph Design Competition

Awarded 3rd Prize in an international competition with 350+ entries for the proposal of new design museum in the heart of Mexico city. The jurors summarized our entry as “an exciting…novel solution to the typology of a museum, charged with Mexican references…innovative [and] acrobatic, whilst remaining feasible.”

Museum patrons move between gallery spaces and outdoor green space that are nested within the V-shaped concrete beams. This alternation between interior and exterior space allows visitors to experience moments of respite in order to stave off “museum fatigue”. The beams also collect rainwater during flash floods and collect them in a sunken sculpture garden
